Tax Preparation Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, including: Form 1040 (Individuals) Form 1065 (Partnerships) Form 1120 and 1120S (Corporations and S Corporations) Form 1041 (Trusts and Estates) Nonprofit informational returns (Form 990), when applicable Analyze financial records and supporting documentation to ensure accurate tax reporting. Prepare tax projections and estimated tax calculations. Research tax issues and apply current tax laws and regulations. Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations to clients and firm management.### Client Service Gather and organize client information and tax documents. Communicate directly with clients regarding tax return questions, missing information, and filing requirements. Provide professional and timely responses to client inquiries. Assist clients with IRS and state tax notices and correspondence. ### Administrative Duties Track return status and meet filing deadlines. Ensure compliance with firm procedures and quality control standards. Maintain confidentiality of client information. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. ### Required 3+ years of recent tax preparation experience in a CPA firm or public accounting environment. Proficiency preparing individual and business tax returns. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. Experience using professional tax software (UltraTax). Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously.### Preferred CPA, EA (Enrolled Agent), or CPA candidate. * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
