Description:

Our client has an immediate need for a Project Manager (Construction/Capital) to manage multiple capital construction programs and projects for our client in the utilities sector. The projects are fast-paced, short-duration initiatives that roll up to larger programs. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy quick-turnaround projects, can pivot easily, and keep multiple initiatives moving efficiently.

Requirements:

Prior project/program management in the construction or utilities field preferred

Ability to manage quick turnaround projects effectively

Quick thinkers who thrive in fast-paced environments

Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work under fast-paced conditions

Prior experience with Primavera6, Maximo, or Procore is a plus, but not required

No four-year degree required

Responsibilities:

Plan, execute, and coordinate internal resources and external contractors for various capital construction projects

Define program and project scope with stakeholders, clarify limitations, and communicate deliverables

Identify high-level risks, key stakeholders, and objectives; assist with schematic-level cost estimating

Sequence activities, allocate resources, develop schedules, and create detailed work plans

Develop and manage risk registers, communications plans, budgets, and forecasts

Monitor project performance, track expenditures, and report variances to management

Ensure all financial and project documentation is accurate and up-to-date

Conduct project closeout tasks, document lessons learned, and organize project files for future reference

Work directly with union teams confidently and effectively

Multitask across multiple projects and maintain momentum under fast-paced conditions
