Human Resources Coordinator

Community Living Options, a nonprofit agency since 1986, is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support a dynamic HR team. Community Living Options supports individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and seniors. The organization is an employer of choice for more than 140 direct support professionals and managers who deliver quality services to individuals served in specialized residential group homes, an adult learning center, and in supported independent living sites across Greater Kalamazoo County.

About This Job: As the Human Resources Coordinator, you are the backbone of our HR department, providing essential support across a wide range of functions. You play a crucial role in ensuring smooth HR operations, fostering a positive employee experience, and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. Your work directly impacts the efficiency and effectiveness of our team, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinates onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for new hires and departing employees.

Supports the recruiting process by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.

Maintains employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.

Assists with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.

Processes payroll-related information and ensures timely and accurate payment to employees.

Assists with performance management processes.

Ensures compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.

Tracks HR metrics and runs various reports.

Provides administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing correspondence.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma; Associate's preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a Human Resources, Office Administration, or other Administrative Support role.

Knowledge/Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).

Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and/or HRIS systems (e.g., UKG Ready).

Physical Requirements/Work Conditions:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Occasional lifting of files and supplies.

Standard office environment.

Wage & Benefits:

$18.51-$19.44 starting, adjusted based on experience and length of employment with

Community Living Options and comprehensive benefits package.
