The Registered Cardiac Sonographer works under the close direction of the medical and clinical departments to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular conditions. Utilizing non-invasive cardiovascular technology and diagnostic ultrasound equipment, the sonographer evaluates different aspects of the heart, such as chamber size, valve function, and blood flow. This position ensures that all diagnostic findings are professionally communicated to physicians for further review and treatment plan

Responsibilities include: Utilizing diagnostic ultrasound technology to assess heart chamber size, valve function, and blood flow; Identifying any abnormalities in the cardiovascular system and promptly reporting findings to the attending physician; Reviewing patient charts and medical histories using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to support diagnostic procedures; Maintaining a high level of familiarity with basic and complex cardiac conditions to provide accurate diagnostic results; Documenting all findings and maintaining comprehensive records for patient review and future reference; Collaborating with medical staff to ensure that all procedures are conducted in accordance with best practices and hospital guidelines; Participating in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay current with advances in cardiovascular technology and diagnostic ultrasound; Adhering to all safety protocols and patient care standards when conducting diagnostic procedures.

Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in cardiovascular ultrasound equipment and technology; Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and common cardiovascular conditions; Excellent communication skills to effectively relay findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals; Ability to maintain accurate patient records and handle confidential medical information with professionalism.

Requires Associate's degree in Clinical Physiology, Cardiac/Medical Sonography, or related medical science fields and a minimum of 24 months of clinical experience in cardiac ultrasound in a hospital or clinical setting.

Salary $108,826 annually.
