JOB DESCRIPTION: Transportation/Truck Driver

Reports to: Plant Manager

General Purpose: Distributes and procures produce to and from customers and vendors in a safe, timely manner via a commercial delivery truck.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

No CDL required

Must be 21 years old or older

Pull orders from warehouse, and loads trucks

Collects payments and signatures on delivery receipts

Clean and sanitize delivery truck

Handles paperwork associated with deliveries and pick-ups from customers and vendors.

Know and follow customer procedures and policies regarding delivery of produce.

Completes a daily checklist according to state and federal regulations which includes inspecting truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brads, diesel, oil and water thus ensuring the safe operating condition of the truck and communicates issues with management.

Keeps the truck clean, both inside and out and within the van bed.

Responsible for making sure a valid registration and insurance card are in the truck at all times, and that the license plates are current.

In the event of an accident, regardless of severity or fault, the Driver must call the Police and then the office.

Drivers are totally responsible for ensuring the vehicle assigned to them is properly equipped, licensed and in compliance with all applicable laws.

Any summons or citations for any violation of law, including those related to the truck, are the Driver's responsibility. Tickets will not be paid by the Company.

Assists where needed in the warehouse, on the grounds or picking up supplies as directed by Plant Management.

Requirements:

Current Colorado Driver License

Good Driving Record

Be able to lift 75 pounds, push and pull up multiple items on cart/dolly

Available to work Saturdays and Holidays when needed
