Brief Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for:

All tasks associated with the accounts payable functions.

Producing and analyzing system reports relating to daily accounts payable activities.

Assuring compliance with internal CAP control procedures.

Requiring minimum supervision, with independent judgment exercised in performance of daily responsibilities.

Proficient in leadership competencies related to leading self.

Specific Duties

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Perform all tasks associated with the A/P function to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments. Tasks include:

Daily processing of all non-PT invoices. This includes Foundation, Path PAC and other internal check requests. Backup processing of PT invoices as needed.

Weekly payment processing, including processing of all wire payments for PT and office related invoices.

Record all monthly auto-debit payments.

Record ACH payments made by the Tax Specialist.

Coordinate activities with the Purchasing Department to identify and resolve issues relating to workflow processes. Tasks include:
Produce and analyze the Invoice On-Hold Report.

Manage the Supplier Invoices Awaiting your Approval notifications.

Provide input into the creation and revisions to procedure manuals.

Produce and analyze reports to maintain quality of results within A/P Department.

Sales tax self-assessment.

Participate in testing of software upgrades/changes.

Assist in training new and existing personnel.

Back-up personnel in absence of the Manager, Accounts Payable.

Additional duties as assigned by the Manager, Accounts Payable.

Technical:

Experience in Microsoft Office

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 preferred

Education/Experience

Education:

Associate degree preferred

Experience:

At least 2 years in an office environment, preferably with a background in accounts payable

Additional Criteria

This position is based out of the Northfield, IL office. Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the Northfield headquarters.

Salary Range: $26.00 - $33.00 hourly
