TITLE: Operation Superintendent - (Multiple Openings)

DUTIES: Manage day-to-day operations within the meat manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met efficiently. Coordinate with engineering teams to refine manufacturing processes, incorporating advanced technologies and methodologies to optimize production. Spearhead continuous improvement efforts aimed at streamlining workflows, reducing waste, and boosting productivity. Lead project teams to implement process enhancements, adhering to lean manufacturing principles to achieve operational goals. Analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement, focusing on solutions that enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Regularly review production statistics to ensure optimal operation rates and identify opportunities for improvement in yields and productivity. Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure that improvements comply with all regulatory and quality standards. Oversee the regular maintenance and updating of production equipment to ensure high operational availability and performance. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to establish preventative maintenance plans that minimize downtime and maintain production continuity. Evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases that promise to enhance operational efficiency and product quality. Assist in the preparation and management of the operations budget, ensuring costs are kept within allocated limits. Monitor expenditures and implement cost-control measures to maintain financial health without compromising production quality or safety. Manage a team of production staff, providing training, mentorship, and development opportunities to enhance skills and foster a culture of excellence. Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive working environment, encouraging teamwork and employee engagement. Conduct performance evaluations, providing feedback and setting objectives that align with company goals. Uphold stringent safety standards, conducting regular checks and training sessions to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Actively participate in safety meetings and initiatives to promote a safe workplace culture.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

LOCATION: Clemens Food Group, 572 Newton Road, Coldwater, MI 49036

REQUIREMENTS:

Main Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, or closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Plant Manager, Production Shift Manager, Warehouse Coordinator, Operation Staff, Customer Service, Quality Distribution Supervisor, Shipment Supervisor, or related role where required experience gained.

Special Skills: Also requires experience in the following:

Four (4) years of experience in a supervisory role within the meat processing industry.

Operational management, meat processing techniques, and industry regulations.

Continuous improvement processes, such as Lean or Six Sigma.

Proficient in relevant manufacturing management software, such as SAP and adept at data analysis
