Processes payroll including new employee set-up, changes, timesheet entry, balancing, finalizing payroll, etc.

Prepares, verifies and files monthly and quarterly payroll reports; prepares and submits files and reports to the State and Federal government.

Prepares, verifies and files fiscal year end and year end reports; balances reports to the W2 files; prepares and distributes employee W2's.

Oversees all banking activities for the department.

Reviews and processes requisitions and prepares purchase orders; verifies requested amounts are within the budget; verifies vendor information for accuracy in the accounts payable software system; submits paperwork for review and approval.

Prepares various financial reports; prepares and maintains records and files.

Prepares monthly reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts.

Receives, verifies and processes invoices for payment; matches invoices with purchase orders; prepares checks for mailing; matches invoices with checks; processes electronic funds transfer.

Sets up and maintains vendors in computer system; verifies vendor information.

Posts journal entries to the general ledger.

Reviews and processes travel requests; ensures requests comply with policy.

Processes daily bank deposits.

Processes daily revenue batches.

Reconciles vendor statements and accounts payable accounts.

Responds to customer and vendor inquiries and concerns in person and over the telephone.

Performs monthly general billing for sludge, water and sewer taps, retirees insurance premiums, etc.

Performs related tasks as required.
