Responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations to support the fiscal integrity of the daycare center. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, tuition billing, expense reporting, financial recordkeeping, and monthly reconciliation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory and tax reporting requirements. Specific duties include: maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including tuition payments, vendor invoices, expense logs, and petty cash reports; prepare, issue, and track tuition invoices and receipts; follow up on outstanding balances in coordination with the centers administration; process biweekly payroll and maintain payroll records in accordance with federal and state wage laws; reconcile bank statements, process journal entries, and assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting; monitor budgets, generate expense summaries, and alert management to variances or irregularities; prepare records and summaries for CPA review or audit support; assist in preparing quarterly and annual tax documentation (1099s, W-2s, state reports); ensure full compliance with state and federal financial reporting requirements applicable to licensed childcare providers; and provide administrative support for financial operations during licensing reviews, grant applications, or subsidy program audits.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration.

SKILLS: Must have experience with the following: 1) Accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel; 2) Experience with tuition billing, reconciliation, and collections tracking; 3) Payroll preparation and employment tax compliance; 4) Ability to prepare monthly financial summaries and reconcile daycare-related accounts; 5) Knowledge of state and federal reporting requirements for childcare centers.
