Position Summary

Chepo's Mexican Restaurant is seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to support our kitchen team. The Dishwasher plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment by washing dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment, assisting with cleaning tasks, and helping ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area.

Empty trash and recycling containers as needed.

Sweep and mop kitchen floors and assist with general kitchen cleaning.

Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces and equipment according to health and safety standards.

Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies in designated areas.

Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and support tasks as directed.

Follow all restaurant safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.

Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working with team members.

Qualifications

No prior experience required; restaurant experience is a plus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
