Key Responsibilities:

Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing case files, maintaining organized records, and tracking important deadlines and court dates. Ensure all documents and information are readily available and up-to-date.

Document Preparation: Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence. Proofread and format documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with court rules and firm standards.

Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research to support case strategies, including the use of online legal research tools and databases. Analyze case law, statutes, and regulations to provide summaries and reports for attorney review.

Client Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for clients, maintaining professional communication and providing updates on case progress. Schedule and coordinate client meetings, depositions, and court appearances.

Administrative Support: Assist in the organization of meetings and conferences, manage attorney calendars, and handle travel arrangements. Maintain and update client files, both hard copy and electronic, ensuring confidentiality and security.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, fellow support staff, and external parties to facilitate the flow of information and support the overall objectives of the firm. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes.

Billing and Record Keeping: Assist in the preparation of billing statements and ensure accurate time-keeping records. Support the firm's financial management by organizing and cataloging expenses and receipts related to cases.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with legal research tools.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in a law firm or legal department is preferred.

Paralegal certification or relevant educational background is an asset.
