Manage the data analysis and design of analytics products across a focused area of the Central Insurance Company business value stream to enable data driven business decision that will drive performance and lead to the accomplishment of annual goals

Identify and gather useful raw data sources, and mine and extract data from those sources to be inputted into Central Insurance Company's automated insights generation framework insurance software data analytics applications and other internal software data analytics applications and systems used by Central Insurance Company internal team members and insurance agents in order to provide more meaningful insight to make impactful data-driven business decisions

Apply statistics and algorithms to derive actionable insights from data sets and collaborate with information technology team members and software developers to support the generation and development of Central Insurance Company's automated insights generation framework insurance software data analytics applications and internal software data analytics applications and systems using those insights

Design, develop, and conduct statistical analyses, including predictive and prescriptive modeling and visualization in order to turn sets of disparate data points from computer data systems into objective answers

Develop and implement processes and tools to monitor model performance and analyze data accuracy to ensure Central Insurance Company's automated insights generation framework insurance software data analytics applications are delivering accurate, reliable data points and actionable insights

Present actionable insights derived from complex statistical analyses to Central Insurance Company's insurance business partners in a clear, distilled manner to allow them to make informed, data-driven decisions

Engage and confer with key insurance business partners on large data projects and initiatives to understand their analytical and operational challenges and to translate those needs into data solutions

Maintain fluency in existing and emerging data science technologies and engage in continuing education by way of online coursework or independent study to fill in gaps of knowledge as needed to manage and execute innovative projects

Directly supervise three (3) Data Scientist II direct reports and inform and implement operational objectives, policies, procedures, and work plans, as well as delegate assignments to the team

A Master's Degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Computer Science is required (a foreign educational equivalent is acceptable).
