POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mortgage Lender / Business Analyst will use their real estate lending knowledge to assist prospects and existing customers with qualifying and closing residential 1^st^ and 2^nd^ mortgages and HELOCs consistent with secondary market and portfolio guidelines. This position is multi-dimensional, in addition to originating mortgage loans and HELOCs, the individual will assist the director of mortgage banking with analysis of data and weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

mortgage loan prospects to closed loans using a consultative sales process which simultaneously meets the clients needs, results in loan origination, and enhances the long-term relationship between the bank and the client.

Assist Spanish speaking community with home loan needs to include financial education, application and closing processes.

Be responsible for the timely submission of required borrower documentation. This may be accomplished by completing/obtaining the documents directly from the customer, or by utilizing our web site.

Analyze financial statements and assess loan risk.

Know and successfully apply the principles of:

Mortgage lending product knowledge

Compliance

Loan documentation

Deal structuring for the customers benefit.

Computer technology

Build purposeful relationships with internal and external partners:

Attending networking groups

Visiting referral partners.

Becoming a community resource.

Utilize an effective personal time management system.

Serve as the department administrator for Experience.com

Identify cross sell opportunities with thorough product know skills and make referrals to appropriate business partners.

Ensure thorough knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues relating to loan policy and procedures (i.e., CRA, Fair Lending, etc.) evidenced by appropriate application of these regulations in day-to-day operations. Complete all necessary compliance training to include but not limited to BSA.

Attend meetings and bank events as required and perform other duties as may be specified from time to time.

Assist new loan officers transitioning to Central Bank

Assist other loan officers with onboarding loans to the loan origination system.

POSITION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in finance, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

A minimum of three years banking experience required.

Bilingual with a high proficiency in Spanish.

Strong financial acumen.

Ability to make independent decisions while adhering to federal, state, and investor guidelines.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent interpersonal skills, a committed listener, shows empathy and deals well with individuals of all personality @types, builds rapport and confidence quickly.
