Castro & Sons LLC is hiring Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Drivers (Wheelchair Accessible) to transport Medicaid/Medicare recipients to and from medical trips.

Duties:

Drive a company-provided wheelchair-accessible vehicle to pick up and transport clients to their scheduled appointments on time and efficiently.

Ensure a smooth and comfortable ride for clients, practicing defensive driving techniques and adhering to all traffic laws.

Assist clients with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, using a ramp, lift, or other mobility aids as needed.

Secure wheelchairs and other medical equipment safely within the vehicle.

Keep vehicles clean and sanitary at all times.

Must have knowledge of routing software to complete trips that are assigned (willing to train).

Must have cellphone with internet data to use app for assignments.

Must be cordial and respectful to clients.

Qualifications:

A clean driving record is required.

Ability to operate a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, such as a van with a ramp or lift.

Strong physical fitness and stamina to safely assist clients with mobility needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and healthcare personnel.

Compassionate and patient demeanor to provide a positive experience for clients.

Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Driver position starts at $17 per hour. For drivers who have a CDL with passenger endorsement(7 or more passengers), $18-$20 per hour based on experience.
