Executive Director, Trader at Castleton Commodities Management Services LLC (Houston, TX) Responsible for performing advanced financial market analysis to determine short and long-term trading opportunities in the commodities markets. Daily job duties include:

Utilize industry fundamental and technical analysis including the evaluation of current and historical financial data, economic, and industry trends to research market dynamics and assess Castletons trade and hedge positions. This includes financial modeling of fundamental balance and utilization of relevant tools (e.g., Excel, VBA, Matlab/Python);

Monitor market, industry, product, and pricing trends and evaluate the same to inform Castleton investment (trading) decisions;

Monitor risk and daily profit and loss (PandL) and work with the support teams to address and resolve issues that arise (working to evaluate threats to investment decisions and manage unpredictability and limit potential losses);

Formulate financial risk management and trading strategies in United States Natural Gas futures, options and calendar spread options markets; and

Work closely with the Fundamental and Quantitative Research teams, analyzing and presenting market views, and employing advanced derivative knowledge within futures and options.

Requires a Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, a related field or foreign equivalent, followed by 3 years of experience in any occupation where experience performing fundamental analysis in natural gas and risk taking was gained. Experience must include:

3 years of experience with derivatives, including futures and options, and analyzing greeks and models of options pricing;

3 years of experience with VBA, Matlab and Python;

3 years of experience in data management of raw natural gas fundamental data; and

3 years of experience analyzing and presenting market views.
