We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse (MA/LPN) to join our clinical team. This position supports providers by assisting with patient care, clinical procedures, and daily clinic operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced orthopedic or specialty care environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support

Prepare patients for examinations and procedures

Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints

Assist the provider during exams, injections, and minor procedures

Perform splinting, bracing, casting assistance, and wound care (as applicable)

Administer injections and medications within scope of practice

Remove sutures and apply dressings as directed

Patient Care & Education

Provide patient education on treatment plans, post-procedure care, and follow-up instructions

Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout visits

Answer patient questions and communicate provider instructions clearly

Administrative & Documentation

Document clinical information accurately in EMR/EHR systems

Assist with referrals, imaging orders, and prior authorizations

Maintain exam room cleanliness and supply inventory

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies

Qualifications

Required

Medical Assistant certification and/or LPN license (active and in good standing)

Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and medical terminology

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a clinical setting

Preferred

Orthopedic or specialty clinic experience

Experience with casting, splinting, and bracing

Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems

CPR/BLS certification
