Job Description:

Caine and Weineris seeking a Temp to Hire, In-Office, detail-oriented and proactiveAccounts Receivable/Payableto join our growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience withGreat Plainsaccounting software and a strong understanding of accrual-based accounting principles. This position will be responsible for managing accounts payable (AP) functions, preparing, and posting journal entries, and assisting with month-end close processes and other projects as needed and assigned.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm or 9am - 6pm

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the accounts payable process, including the accurate coding and timely payment of invoices.

Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting policies.

Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other relevant reports for management review.

Assist with accrual-based accounting tasks, ensuring all expenses and revenues are appropriately recognized.

Perform various reconciliations, including bank and vendor reconciliations.

Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including working with VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables to streamline reporting and analysis.

Requirements:

Experience with Great Plains accounting software is highly preferred.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, and other advanced functions.

Solid understanding of accrual-based accounting principles.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Solid AP experience

Experience with month-end close and general ledger functions.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
