The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Budget and Finance for the 2026-2027 school year. This key leadership position reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools and plays a critical role in ensuring the fiscal integrity and operational efficiency of the District.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and oversight of the District's financial operations, including budget development, monitoring, and long-range financial planning.

Prepare and present financial reports to the Superintendent and Board of Education.

Oversee and manage the financial aspects of capital projects, including planning, budgeting, and compliance.

Participate in collective bargaining and support contract negotiations.

Administer the District's insurance programs and risk management strategies.

Supervise non-instructional operations as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools, including the Food Service Department, with responsibility for both personnel and financial management.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and reporting requirements related to school finance.

Qualifications:

NYS School District Business Leader (SDBL), NYS School Business Administrator (SBA) or School District Administrator (SDA) certification preferred (or ability to obtain).

Demonstrated experience in school finance, budgeting, and fiscal management.

Strong knowledge of New York State education finance regulations and reporting.

Proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively supervise staff and manage complex operations.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
