A busy West Michigan Law Firm is currently recruiting for an experienced Secretary to undertake a variety of secretarial and clerical tasks. You will work under the supervision of the administrator and have the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

Answer and route phone calls on a multi-line phone system.

Maintain and manage the firm's calendaring system and schedule consults for paralegals and attorneys.

Check-in clients for appointments.

Sort and process mail.

Set up conference room for virtual hearings and conferences.

Take court filings to courthouse and file.

Take mail to the post office at the end of the day if needed.

Provide clerical support to one or more attorneys and office staff as needed.

Effectively communicate with clients, court personnel, witnesses, and other professionals in person or over the phone.

Manage new client intakes.

Manage confidential firm and/or client information.

Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and qualifications:

Experience & Qualifications

Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Must exhibit strong typing skills and have the ability to learn and quickly become proficient in new computer software programs.

Posses excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
