Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Billing Clerk to join our Patient Accounting team. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in examining and billing all accounts receivable primary and secondary claims, reviewing mail correspondence, denials, and handling phone calls from insurance companies and patients.

Responsibilities:

Examine and bill all accounts receivable primary and secondary claims Review mail correspondence, denials, and handle phone calls from insurance companies and patients Assist in analysis of open claims-verification of timely submission and claim resolution as needed Timely filing of issues/denials to prevent lost revenue Assist in maintaining A/R over 120 and review all accounts receivable claims Transmit all electronic claims and prepare trial balance reports for inpatient, Medicare, Medicaid, and other carriers Process denials and insurance explanation of benefits Requirements:

3 years of medical billing experience, with experience in professional and institutional claims, spanning all @types of carriers, including Government, Medicare, Workers Compensation/NoFault, and commercial carriers Experience with eClinicalWorks, ClaimMaster, and/or HMS a plus High School Diploma or GED; Medical Billing certificate a plus Must be willing to work 100% on-site.
