This position requires the level of knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to diagnose and repair all makes of medium and heavy-duty equipment. Some duties include removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting vehicle components, including engine components, fuel systems, and the like. Other responsibilities of the position also include ensuring work orders are completed properly, selecting the appropriate course of action for repairs, and performing road calls and emergency services as dictated by customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems for machinery and equipment

Inspect and repair forklifts, tractors, and trailers

Perform all required maintenance inspections and safety checks as required

Help service customers with their equipment

Troubleshoot and submit repair bids to Service Manager

Perform required Preventive Maintenance (oil change, lube, filter changes, etc.)

Submit all paperwork to Equipment Service Manager on a timely basis

Effectively and consistently communicate with Equipment Service Manager

Assist in the training process of new employees

Perform other duties as required by the Equipment

Required Education and Experience:

Ability to read and understand schematics

Computer-assisted troubleshooting experience

Basic general computer skills

Basic mechanical and electrical working knowledge

Understand the mechanics of fabricating equipment (Preferred)

Basic, general computer skills

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of two years of hands-on construction rental/equipment maintenance

Requires basic mechanical and electrical working knowledge.

Must have the ability and capability to start and operate equipment

Must be able to lift 75 pounds, full use of arms to hands to use tools, must be able to climb up and off equipment and be able to see close as well as distant

Requires a valid and current drivers license
