SUMMARY: This 10 month, part-time position assists children during the breakfast and/or lunch period, This position works a minimum of two and a half hours per day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

Supervises students during lunch time and maintains a harmonious

atmosphere by encouraging peaceful resolutions of conflicts.

Assists students during lunch to promote speed through the food

line.

Reports student misbehavior to the appropriate building principal.

Reports dangerous acts by drivers to the appropriate building

principal.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate or GED

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

To read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos

To write correspondence

To effectively present information and respond to questions from

groups of students, parents, and the general public

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: To add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply/divide with 10s and 100s, performing these operations using units of American currency and weight measurement.

REASONING ABILITY: To apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but basic written or oral instructions. To deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:

To establish and maintain effective working relationships with

students, staff, and the school community

To communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written

communications

To perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and

Board of Education policies
