This requires using specialized diagnostic tools to precisely align sensors, cameras, and radars according to manufacturer specifications, often after a vehicle repair. Key skills include a strong background in automotive electronics, knowledge of diagnostic tools and software, and attention to detail. Core Responsibilities: Calibrating ADAS: Performing static or dynamic calibrations on systems after they have been repaired or replaced. Diagnostic testing: Using specialized diagnostic tools to test and analyze ADAS components. Following specifications: Adhering strictly to the manufacturer's guidelines and specifications for each calibration. Using specialized equipment: Operating calibration equipment that may include specialized targets, lasers, and computer software. Staying current: Keeping up to date with rapidly evolving ADAS technologies and calibration procedures. Required skills and qualifications Technical knowledge: A solid understanding of automotive electronics, sensor technology, and vehicle diagnostics.
