JOB AD: Flight Nurse

Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Certified Flight Nurses to partner with us in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers and US Government staff at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti. This will be a deployed, rotational contract, ideally with a 3 month on, 1 month off, rotation cycle.?

The team will be based in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, and all service delivery requirements will be conducted within the confines of that facility. All support services are being provided by the US Government, including camp facilities and basic life support requirements, including travel, meals, accommodation, internet, and other ancillary support services.?

Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services. All clinic service delivery services will be provided in accordance with US clinical standards and compliance measures.?

All Aspen Medical staff must be US citizens or Green Card holders.?

Requirements

Education:??

A graduate or higher-level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained

Certification: ??

Current, valid American Heart Association or American Red Cross certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

One or more of the following current, valid certifications are required: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN), or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification is preferred

One or more of the following current, valid certifications are required: Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN), Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), or Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC)

License:?

Must hold a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in one of the U.S. states, territories, commonwealths, or the District of Columbia

Contractor personnel are required to possess a license in the state in which they will practice and provide services under this contract such that medical providers are authorized to conduct the independent practice of clinical services as a condition of employment. This license shall be current (not revoked, suspended, or lapsed in registration), valid (the issuing authority accepts and considers QA information (i.e. practitioner professional performance and conduct in determining continued licenses)), and unrestricted (not subject to restriction pertaining to the scope, location, or @type of practice ordinarily granted to other applicants for similar licenses in granting jurisdiction).This is a change to the original requirement and may be accomplished through specific state licensing or authorization to practice by the regulatory authority in the state(s) in which the contractor personnel are providing independent clinical care and services

Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last 5 years

Previous experience as a flight registered nurse and/or pre-hospital experience of at least one (1) year is preferred

Language Proficiency:?

Fluency in Haitian Creole and/or French is highly desired

This position will be a 1099 contractor, with a fixed daily rate while on rotation. You will not receive pay while off rotation.??
