The Accounting Manager will perform the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure internal control processes are solid, monitored closely, and that compliance is well-documented.

Assist in the development of detailed annual budgets.

Act as back-up for preparation and input of recurring transactions, including payables, customer billings, and deposit entry.

Assist with event settlements, and related ticketed-event accounting reconciliations and close-outs.

Prepare timely event and flash reports; reports within 3 days of event.

Perform majority of month-end financial close tasks, for all 3 venues, including expense (including payroll) accruals, bank transactions, expense allocations (esp. labor) to events for event PandLs, expense amortizations, reserve analysis and adjustment, and vendor revenue-share accounting.

Prepare and perform balance sheet (esp. bank) reconciliations.

Prepare financial statement package monthly, and other required reports.

Prepare and document detailed variance analysis, then perform related financial statement reviews with management personnel.

Prepare detailed forecasting models monthly.

Prepare and file monthly and annual tax and related reporting.

Perform special analysis projects, to assist others and ensure the financial budget is achieved.

Develop and establish procedures to improve existing systems.

Act in a cash-support capacity at all 3 venues, as needed.

Act as back-up to Box Office Manager, as needed.

Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university preferred.

CPA preferred.

At least 3 to 5 years of experience in public accounting and/or financial management at an advanced level.

Skills and Abilities

Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting.

Excellent math skills, and high aptitude for figures.

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational ability.

Ability to work with and maintain highly-confidential information is required.

Extensive knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheets (Excel), and word-processing software.
