Job Description:

Perform and support diverse environmental engineering assessments and remediation projects in collaboration with scientists, engineers, project managers, and technical experts.

Complete technical engineering functions, such as site investigation, conceptual site model development, feasibility studies, pilot test plans, design of remedial systems, developing technical proposals, and providing technical support to PFAS team.

Coordinate necessary fieldwork conducted out of other offices and manage elements of projects that impact environmental assessments.

Perform some projects through occasional field work.

Assist the development of investigation plans, conceptual site models, feasibility studies, field test plans, remedial system designs, including technical specifications, and design calculations, and assist with the development of Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, and Remedial Designs; this includes the coordination of figure generation, data management, work plans, and/or other required supporting documents.

Support our PFAS (pre- and polyfluorinated substances) team. This role will require supporting technical groups that cover PFAS, in and ex situ remediation, and fate and transport/forensic chemistry. Activities will include:

o Preparation of investigation and pilot/field test work plans

o Analysis of field data and preparing corresponding written deliverables

o Providing support to field teams planning and executing work

Minimum Requirements:** A Doctor of Philosophy degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).

**

Special Requirements:** Must have academic training or experience in the following:

1.

Data visualization software;

2.

Chemical modeling software with R statistical software;

3.

PFAS chemistry; and

4.

Contaminant degradation product and decay rate modeling.

*Telecommuting is permitted anywhere in the U.S.
