Summary: The Nurse Educator is responsible for the coordination and training of Agency staff in the Residential and Day Habilitation departments in relation to medical administration and medical treatment, Agency Clinical Procedures and nursing department protocols.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Must possess the ability to effectively teach and motivate learners to engage and excel. Able to provide adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies. Effective facilitation and presentation skills for diverse audiences. Knowledge of Arcs population and services Knowledge of all standards and regulations governing health related services Must demonstrate exceptional skills in stand up delivery, facilitation and course design that achieve key learning objectives and inspire learners to apply concepts beyond the classroom. Must be able to create/adapt customized training/learning programs. Demonstrate time and project management experience required. Skilled at multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities. Very good working knowledge of basic computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Physical Requirements: Will be required to stand or site for majority of the day. Must have the ability to lift up to 20 lbs and be able to get on the floor if needed.

Minimum Qualifications: RN plus two years experience in the Human Services field. One year of experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Bachelors in Nursing preferred. Prior training/teaching experience in a related field a plus.

Working Conditions: Travel is required to all regions of Arc GLOW.
