Apache Steel Works LLC has an opening for an Accounting Clerk in Houston, Texas

. Duties include:

Assist with calculating employee paychecks, managing tax deductions, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, handling employee time data, and adhering to tax regulations to guarantee employees are paid correctly and on time.

Accurately calculated commissions based on established commission plans, policies, and sales data.

Assis with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Assist with generating statements, preparing and sending invoices to the customers, and maintaining the billing system.

Collect payments processing and verify incoming payments, post receipts, follow up on outstanding invoices, and contact customers about past due invoices.

Handle customer inquiries regarding invoices or payments.

Maintain accurate financial records and support financial reporting.

Prepare and reconcile accounts, as needed.

Enter financial data into accounting systems and spreadsheets.

Prepare reports and analysis as needed for accounting and financial purposes.

May also be responsible for tasks like budget monitoring, invoice processing

Follow through with customer collections due to non-payment.

10% local travel within the Houston metropolitan area.

Requirements: Employer will accept a minimum of associates degree or foreign equivalent in accounting, business, or finance and 48 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Experience should include:

Experience using accounting software.

Relevant course work in accounting, business math, and administrative systems
