Amrize Cement Inc. seeks a Process Engineer in Alpena, Michigan to operationally improve plant production, including the computer applications to process controls. Essential duties include:

Analyze plant operations and recommend process improvement, including Cost/Benefit Analysis.

Develop process control automation and computer applications for process control.

Prepare computer reports on the process of operating efficiencies and failure investigation tests.

Perform tests on operating plant systems to determine the efficiencies of the equipment.

Assist management in maintaining the plant within environmental and quality performance regulations. Training shift supervisors for SAP reporting and TIS.

Responsible for New System Implementation (eg. TIS).

Perform ISO Audits and involved with Month End activity reporting.

Work closely with the equipment suppliers, plant staff and Process Area Teams to ensure the successful operation of the plant.

This position requires up to 10% national/domestic travel.

REQUIREMENTS: The position of Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. The position requires 1 year of professional experience in the job offered, as a Process Engineer or in a related engineering position. Additionally, the position requires completion of a course in process engineering in an educational, training, or professional setting.
