Responsibilities

Haul asphalt and other materials between plants and job sites, ensuring timely and consistent deliveries.

Select efficient routes to support smooth workflow and reduce downtime for the paving crew.

Operate manual transmission dump trucks, water trucks, and other job-required vehicles safely and confidently.

Haul pup trailer, and equipment trailer

Monitor load weight and shifting materials during transport, adjusting driving as needed to maintain safety and control.

Perform basic mechanical tasks, including adjusting brakes and checking essential components before and after shifts.

Assist with fueling, cleaning, and minor equipment maintenance to keep trucks in reliable working condition.

Communicate effectively with foremen and crew members regarding delivery timing, loads, and site needs.

Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and industry best practices.

Requirements

Experience driving manual transmission trucks; strong understanding of truck mechanics and brake adjustments.

5 years asphalt experience

Ability to operate dump trucks, water trucks, and other construction-related vehicles.

Valid CDL

Tanker endorsement

Awareness of load limits, material weight, and shifting loads during transport.

Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with the paving crew.

Willingness to assist with basic maintenance, inspections, and pre-trip/post-trip checks.

Schedule

Monday--Friday: Start and end times may vary based on job site needs and project completion.

Weekend work is not typical, but may be required occasionally based on project needs
