Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions for Akeela, Inc. This includes directing all IT operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing infrastructure, applications, and development of new technical solutions. This position is a working director's position.

Responsibilities

Management

Provides leadership, vision, and management to the IT department.

Works with management and staff to assess and respond to IT needs.

Manages the IT Desktop Support position with day-to-day supervision, delegating work assignments and conducting performance evaluations.

Serves on planning and policy-making committees.

Holds departmental meetings to review strategic goals and initiatives.

Serves as primary contact with outside vendors in the generation of RFPs, bids, contracts, agreements, Systems Operations and Maintenance when related to the IT department and IT equipment.

Generates budget requirements and needs on an annual basis.

Provides IT departmental updates and data for quarterly and annual Board meetings.

Networking

Plans and implements additions, deletions, and major modifications to the current infrastructure.

Oversee administration and maintenance of the company's networking infrastructure.
