QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

At a minimum have a baccalaureate degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field, or ability to obtain credential within required timeframe from date of hire

Be able to meet ALL Montana Childcare Licensing Rules and Regulations for administrative and teaching staff

Maintain a current 1st Aid and CPR certificate

Have a valid drivers license and be able to be listed on company insurance for use of personal vehicle for work related purposes

Have means and freedom to travel as required by Head Start duties and/or training

Prefer prior experience working in Head Start or non-profit human service area, working on goal setting with individual families and community resources and referrals

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Conduct face-to-face interviews with families, as necessary

Present the family partnership and family goal-setting process to enrolled families and solicit their engagement

Maintain ongoing contact with each assigned family to assist them in achieving their goals identified through the goal setting process

Help families to identify and access community resources and services

Participate in case management for all classrooms

Assist with newsletter articles and written materials for the parents/families

Contact community agencies/resources on a regular basis to maintain a positive and visible community presence

Conduct in-services for staff and parents in the family and community partnerships areas, as needed

Assist in implementing parenting curriculum and health education as necessary

Provide oversight program wide to ensure family information/data and keep child files and Child Plus current and up to date including contacts with families, follow-up services, internal and external referrals and progress made toward goals

Develop a system for tracking the Family Partnership Agreements at all sites which will allow for the continuous monitoring required to meet Head Start Performance Standards

Arrange and facilitate family engagement activities in conjunction with other staff as needed

Provide reports related to Policy Council, Governing Board, and the PIR report

Maintain health and safety of Head Start children and staff by practicing active supervision

Must travel regularly to all centers for ongoing monitoring and implementation of systems and services

Full-time position, working 40 hours per week.

$22.04 per hour and up, depending on experience. Benefits include: paid vacation, sick leave, 401K and health insurance.
