Position Summary: The PRN Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on an as-needed basis to patients in [hospital/clinic/long-term care/etc.]. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with physicians, healthcare staff, and families. This position is flexible and does not guarantee a set schedule; shifts are assigned according to facility needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care.

Assess patient conditions, record medical histories, and administer treatments or medications.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to implement care plans.

Monitor patient progress, document care accurately, and report changes in condition.

Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication, and health management.

Follow infection control, safety, and compliance standards.

Float to various units/departments as needed to cover staffing shortages.

Qualifications:

Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [state].

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications [facility may vary].

Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills.

Ability to work flexible, variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
