OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Data Specialist to support project setup, payroll processing, and compliance reporting. This role ensures data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Configure projects, subcontractors, classifications, and wage determinations

Maintain project data, including timelines, ratios, and compliance details

Review and process contractor payroll for accuracy and compliance

Validate and reconcile payroll data against source documents

Monitor apprentice/journey worker ratios and identify discrepancies

Generate and verify compliance reports (labor hours, participation, missing payroll, etc.)

Maintain records in SharePoint and track project status in Smartsheet

Identify data issues, compliance risks, and escalate as needed

Support system testing, troubleshoot issues, and suggest improvements

Collaborate with compliance, apprenticeship, finance, and software teams

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in data, business, or a related field

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets

Experience with Excel (sorting, filtering, formulas)

Ability to review and validate data for accuracy and compliance

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Experience with SharePoint, Smartsheet, or similar tools preferred

Background in payroll, construction, or compliance is a plus
