ACCOUNTANT

QUALIFICATIONS:

Solid knowledge of Accounting Principles

General knowledge of Job Costing

Good computers skills including Microsoft Office

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Good work ethic, professional demeanor

EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

4+ years of accounting experience (college courses & internships count)

Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting

Familiarity with corporate taxes- federal and state income, sales/use tax

Experience with auditing processes and procedures

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience in construction accounting is a plus

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with daily financial operations and financial reporting

General accounting responsibilities including- bookkeeping, monthly, quarterly & annual closing

Maintain & reconcile general ledger accounts for accuracy

Review financial & job cost data

Reconcile multi-state sales & use returns

Assist with projections and financial statements

Maintain fleet and equipment records

Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies

Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality
