Well known company in the Mifflinville area hiring a permanent, full-time Diesel Mechanic.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnose, adjust, repair, overhaul heavy, medium & light duty towers. Diesel mechanic will maintain & repair diesel engines. CDL-A & inspection license a plus.

Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings & other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.

Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges & precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment & jacks & hoists.

Adjust & reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts & screws & reassemble equipment.

Examine & adjust protective guards, loose bolts & specified safety devices.

Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries & lubricating equipment & machinery.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MUST MEET THE BELOW CRITERIA:

Have a current resume that includes work history & references.

Diesel engine knowledge & experience is required.

Possess a valid PA state driver's license.

Be reliable & dependable.

Have the ability to work a schedule with flexible hours, including nights & weekend hours as deemed necessary by the employer.

Communicate effectively in oral & written form.

RATE OF PAY

Negotiable & based on experience. Rate of pay will be discussed directly with the employer.

HOURS

Must be able to work a schedule with flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights & weekend hours as deemed necessary by the employer. May be required to work overtime & be on-call.
