Accounting and operational finance processes. This role goes beyond traditional accounting responsibilities --- it requires a proactive change agent who thrives in environments where processes must be built, optimized, and continuously improved.

This position will lead critical areas including inventory and cost accounting, fixed assets, customer tooling, and financial consolidations. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, systems-oriented, and energized by identifying inefficiencies and implementing better solutions. Strong critical thinking and the ability to translate data into operational insight are essential.

What You'll Own:

Inventory & Cost Accounting Leadership

Drive accuracy and transparency in inventory valuation and standard costing.

Analyze and explain production variances (material, labor, overhead) and collaborate cross-functionally to address root causes.

Improve processes related to receipts, backflush transactions, adjustments, and cycle counts.

Reconcile inventory subledger to general ledger and enhance reconciliation efficiency.

Identify opportunities to improve costing methodologies, reporting visibility, and operational decision support.

Fixed Assets & Customer Tooling

Lead fixed asset lifecycle management, including capitalization policies and depreciation accuracy.

Oversee accounting for customer and company-owned tooling, including amortization and billing considerations.

Improve capital tracking processes and strengthen internal controls.

Bring structure and visibility to capital and tooling reporting.

Consolidation & Financial Reporting

Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations.

Support multi-entity consolidations and intercompany activity.

Enhance month-end close efficiency through automation and improved workflows.

Assist with audit support and documentation readiness.

ERP Optimization & Process Transformation

Leverage ERP system capabilities to improve data accuracy, reporting, and process efficiency.

Identify system and process gaps and design scalable improvements.

Participate in ERP enhancements and reporting development.

Document and standardize processes where needed --- while continuously improving them.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

4--8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong inventory and cost accounting experience required.

ERP experience required; system optimization experience strongly preferred.

Experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting preferred.

Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capability.
