Key Responsibilities

Architect and Design: Lead the design and documentation of end-to-end cloud solutions integrating AWS HDA and Databricks Lakehouse.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all architectures adhere to FedRAMP High, HIPAA, and FDA compliance standards.

Data Engineering Guidance: Define strategies for data ingestion, storage, transformation, and governance using AWS services and Databricks.

Scalability and Performance: Develop scalable, high-performance architectures with emphasis on monitoring, performance tuning, and automation.

Cost Optimization: Recommend and implement cost-efficient solutions across AWS and Databricks environments.

Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and security teams to align architectures with enterprise data strategy.

Innovation and Best Practices: Stay ahead of industry trends in healthcare data standards (FHIR, OMOP, HL7) and cloud-native design patterns.

Required Qualifications

Education:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Masters preferred).

Certifications:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional

Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Solutions Architect

Experience:

7+ years of experience in cloud solution architecture, with a primary focus on AWS and data platforms.

Hands-on expertise with Databricks Lakehouse design, configuration, and optimization.

Strong background in healthcare data standards (FHIR, OMOP, HL7).

Proven track record delivering secure and compliant healthcare or government cloud solutions.

Technical Skills:

AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR, Lake Formation, IAM.

Databricks: Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog, structured streaming.

Security and compliance frameworks: FedRAMP, HIPAA, FDA 21 CFR Part 11.

Experience in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps/CI-CD practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in multi-cloud integration or hybrid architectures.

Familiarity with modern data mesh / data fabric approaches.

Experience leading cross-functional technical teams in an Agile environment.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $195,000 - $205,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
