Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable.

Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings, including daily specials.

Take accurate orders from customers, utilizing effective communication skills to clarify any dietary restrictions or preferences.

Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining a high standard of presentation.

Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns or requests promptly.

Process payments accurately and efficiently at the end of the meal.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including sanitizing tables and utensils according to food safety standards.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and uphold culinary quality.

Upsell menu items when appropriate to enhance guest experience and increase sales.

Skills

Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.

Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.

Basic math skills for accurate order processing and payment handling.

Ability to sanitize work areas consistently, ensuring a clean environment for guests.

Culinary knowledge is beneficial, particularly in understanding menu items and ingredients.

Experience in grocery stores or quick-service fast-food restaurants is a plus, providing familiarity with fast-paced service environments.

Previous experience in cafs or similar establishments is advantageous for understanding customer expectations.
