Project Manager - Construction and Engineering Design

The job requires the project Manager to be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of civil construction and engineering design projects from start to finish. The role requires strong technical knowledge in civil site development, infrastructure design, and project execution. More specifically the duties include:

Serve as the central point of contact, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Manage resources, budgets, timelines, and personnel, while fostering effective communication among all project stakeholders.

Develop comprehensive project plans, defining goals, deliverables, and establishing project timeline.

Oversee the preparation of civil engineering plans, including stormwater systems, grading, paving, utility layouts, and erosion control using AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation and OpenRoads.

Integrate technical design with construction execution by applying civil engineering principles, while leading QA/QC efforts to ensure compliance with standards and long-term project success.

Create and manage project budgets, estimating costs, tracking expenses, allocating funds, and negotiating contracts.

Develop and manage construction schedules, monitor progress, and ensure tasks are completed on time using Primavera P6.

Manage resources, including materials, equipment, subcontractors, and labor, to ensure optimal execution.

Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers and facilitate communication and meetings to align project objectives and address concerns.

Identify potential project risks and challenges, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to safeguard project progress.

Prioritize and implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, progress reports, and financial data.

Required Education:

Min Bachelors Degree in construction management from an accredited school in US.

Other Requirements:

Requires a Strong Understanding of Civil Construction and Engineering Design Cost Estimation and Risk Management. Knowledge about Soil and Fluid Mechanics is a must. Understanding of building technical drawings and road construction is required. Need Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Arc GIS, HydroCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and project management tools. Ability to prepare TxDOT standard sheets and TCPs for roadway projects is a must.
