As a member of the Support Staff team, your role is essential in assisting prosecutors with case preparation, administrative support, and maintaining effective communication across departments and agencies. This position requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual who can handle sensitive materials and work efficiently under pressure.

Case Management & Discovery

Build and maintain criminal case files from intake through trial.

Organize and process discovery materials.

Redact sensitive information as needed.

Ensure timely delivery of discovery to defense counsel.

Track and update case progress in the office database.

Court Preparation

Assemble documents and materials needed for court.

Print and organize court dockets as required.

Coordinate with attorneys on case status and needs.

Prepare trial notebooks and evidence binders.

Administrative Support

Answer and route incoming phone calls.

Scan, file, and archive physical and digital documents.

Perform accurate and timely data entry into internal systems.

Maintain file and document(s) organization.

Confidentiality & Compliance

Handle all case materials in accordance with legal confidentiality protocols.

Adhere to policies related to the handling of sensitive victim and witness information.

Collaboration & Communication*

Communicate professionally with law enforcement, victim advocates, attorneys, and court personnel.

Work closely with other support staff as a team to ensure office efficiency.

Participate in staff meetings and contribute to process improvements.

Software & Tools

Be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Operate case management software and document tracking systems.

Maintain working knowledge of CCIC/CBI systems (if certified).

Customer Service

Greet and assist the public, victims, and witnesses in person and over the phone.

Provide information or route inquiries appropriately while maintaining professionalism.

Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and managing multiple responsibilities.

Other Duties as Assigned

Support other departments or units when needed.

Remain flexible and responsive to changing case and workload demands.

Must be able to pass background check.

High School Graduate or equivalent.

Valid Colorado Driver's License required.
